Can you disable/purge/delete statistics and logs in avast5?

Avast5 collects stats, and logs. Stats and logs I (and I suspect a lot of people) never look at or care about. Don’t see the point of the graphs, it’s just pretty bloat slowing down the software and collecting data for no benefit.

Does anyone know if the function be disabled or where these stats are stored and can they be deleted?

Have you checked out the avast Settings, Maintenance, Auto Cleanup where you can state the deletion frequency and the LOGS where you can reduce the Maximum file size. I have mine set to delete scan logs older than 7 days and a maximum file size of 256KB.

C:\Users\All Users\Alwil Software\Avast5\log folder contains them.
You need to disable self defense.
Some files can’t be deleted.
