Well, it seems easy to subscribe to a product, HOWEVER, if you wish to cancel anything, you are made to make a phone call and sit On-hold, wasting time!
Highly recommend, NEVER set anything for auto subscription renewal! Situations change.
I haven’t had a computer requiring any third party software. Should not be necessary to use the phone to cancel & get a refund for something.
If you can subscribe via a web page the same method should be available to reverse it.
You don’t have to phone, some areas can’t do this anyway - Depending on your location you can Phone (which for you wasn’t good) or Email - I think the email option may be best as it establishes a support ticket with your email.
I am very concerned that I got subscribed to things without maybe my understanding or knowledge. I was paying for so many Avast products including 10 VPNS!!! 10!!! The only way this could have happened is if I DIDN’T click on something to removed their automatic, “I want this” radial button, which should honestly be illegal as a consumer protection. I had so many Avast spam emails that I didn’t even notice/pay attention to the ones that were real saying they were charging me for upteen products that I hadn’t ordered because I didn’t believe it.
