Cannot boot to Safe Mode hangs on aswrvrt.sys

I have an issue where I can boot to Windows normally with no issues however when trying to boot to Safe Mode it hangs for a minute after aswrvrt.sys and eventually reboots.

Looking at what other people have done I have used FRST to create a log for someone to look at. but it wont let me attach it to this post!

Please someone help me, I’m at my wit’s end!

You boot to normal mode, but you cannot boot to Safe Mode? Why don’t you just uninstall Avast and install it againg…

in all honesty I didn’t have the knowledge to know to do that lol. (I know this is pretty bad for a web developer!)

What exactly is the fault that is being caused here? Should I remove avast then boot to safe mode then once I’m done in safe mode reinstall? or should the reinstall fix the issue?

I do not know what causes this, this is a well known problem. You should ask someone from Avast developer team.

Just uninstall it and restart your computer. Then try to enter safe mode and see if it works. If you’re able to enter safe mode, then just go back to normal windows and install avast again.
