Cannot disconnect VPN , MAC, OS Catalina

Hi
It started when I upgraded to Catalina. I cannot disconnect avast VPN. Even killing app does not help. I also cannot change location it returns me back to the same location I have. I have to reboot computer in order to disconnect.
Please advise

Could you please try to uninstall (https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/Uninstall-SecureLine-VPN/#idt_020) and the re-install Avast SecureLine (https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/Install-SecureLine-VPN/)?
