Cannot Log In to Forum

For quite a while now I have not been able to log in into the forum … with my Dial Up Internet.
I managed to log in right now on my sister’s High Speed Internet computer.

Did something change with the forum’s behind the scenes functionality? I used to be able to log in before with my Dial Up. Now I cannot to save my life. The page seems to lock up right before the slots for the E-mail Address and Password are displayed. I’ve tried many times to no avail. I’ve tried using Firefox in addition to the latest Opera and still no dice. I’ve tried while disabling avast and get the same results. I made sure avast is allowed in the Firewall. Still no luck.

I’ve tried re-registering and get the same problem. Cannot re-register.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance because in about 2 hours I’ll be leaving here and be going back to my computer.
I’ll probably have to e-mail someone from avast by then.

This won’t be much help and I’m not familiar with/have dial up.
I can say that a few months back The Avast Forum did undergo ‘sign in’ changes.
Hopefully one of the mods or some one in the “Know” can add some information that can help you :slight_smile:

Try logging in to your my.avast.com account (and click remember me), don’t logout when you stop browsing, just close the page.

This should allow you to then just go to the avast forum and it should recognise you are already logged in at my.avast.com. Same thing for the forums, when you are done browsing, don’t log out, just close the page or browser.
