we cannot logon as administrator with admin … there is

As usual, the first thing to check is whether the “avast! Management Server” service is running (Administrative Tools → Services).

thanks for soon reply.
the service is not started for some reason, although it is
set to automatic and the system is rebooted …
… so i start the service and try to logon … and, what a
surprise, i get the same error and the service is stopped
again …
… i tried to start the service again, and get the following error:
error: 2147418125:0x7fff000d

As http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=16991.0 indicates, this is a license problem
(the same info can probably found in the Windows Event Viewer, Antivirus category).
Is the license file correctly inserted? (Start → Avast! Management Tools → AMS Maintenance)
Thanks

write down again the license.dat … and that worked, now i can
logon again …

The clients should start communicating (and updating) again as soon as the license is reinstalled (i.e. now).
