Cannot see my own ratings on IMDB when AVAST Web Shield is On

Hi,
I’ve discovered the most curious thing that has been happening recently, I have just stumbled upon it.
When AVAST web shield function is on, I cannot see my own ratings on IMDB.
I know it sounds ridiculous.
I have no idea which protocol is affected, but it should certainly be fixed.
Please let me know if you need some additional information.

Here are some steps you can take to try to resolve the issue:

Check Avast Settings:

Open Avast 2024 and go to Settings.

Go to Protection and then Core Shields.

Make sure the Browser Protection Shield is enabled.

Uninstall and Reinstall Avast:

If the problem persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling Avast. This may fix issues caused by corrupted files or incorrect settings.

Update Avast:

Make sure you are using the latest version of Avast. Go to the official Avast website and download the latest update.

Check Your Browser:

Sometimes the issue may be related to your browser. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, or even using a different browser to see if the issue persists.

Contact Avast Support:

If none of the above solutions work, please contact Avast Support for further assistance. They may be able to provide a specific solution for your issue.

I hope these steps help you resolve your issue! If you need anything else, I’m here to help.

There isn’t a lot of information to work with.
Why can’t you see it, e.g. is avast throwing up an avast alert (if so please attach a screenshot) or is there some other error message ?

What Avast Program and version are you using ?
What Browser are you using and does this still happen with another browser ?
Are you using a VPN as this could also have an impact (though if it previously worked that is less likely) ?

Hi,

  1. No, the Avast is not throwing an alert, it’s just that web site functionalities are disabled like reordering lists, expanding list or ratings.
  2. The Version is Avast Free Antivirus 24.11.6137a (build 24.11.9615.893)
  3. MS Edge.
  4. Don’t know. Not using another browser.
  5. No VPN

Adding a site to Exceptions does not work.
Disabling the Web Sheild fixes the issue.

Edit: Seems adding a site to Exceptions works after Web Shield has been restarted,

After computer restart. the problem persists, even when IMDB is added to the Exceptions.
The only way to resolve is to turn off the Web Shield feature.
