Can't Boot - aswVmm.sys is corrupt

Hey guys,

after reading a lot of threads in the web i come here to get hopefully a solution.

My system won’t boot anymore. It began that i holds (normal boot, but also in safe mode) by loading aswRvrt.sys and i started to look for that problem in the web. I found some topics that advised to delete the file and the avast folder. After that now it holds at aswVmm.sys so it still does not bootup :frowning:

So i now found this forum and already made a txt file by using FRST64.exe from Command prompt in System Recovery Options.

So in attachment you find my txt.

Best regards

Deleting just the file does no good as windows will try to start the driver/service and then grind to a halt when it cannot find the file

S0 aswRvrt; No ImagePath S0 aswVmm; No ImagePath

Download the attached fixlist.txt to the same USB as FRST
Run FRST as before and press Fix
On completion reboot to normal windows

Avast will need to be re-installed
