Can't download PROGRAM updates to Win98

No problem with the virus updates, but since January 12, I can’t get program updates. Does anyone else have this problem? Or is it only my machine. Is Win 98 no longer supported?

Here’s what happens: When downloading, it gets stuck at 3% of file avpro-3aa-3a8.vpu .

Have tried turning off both firewall and screen saver, but this did not help. I also went into the .ini file and checked my settings. Meanwhile nothing has changed on my machine since I last downloaded a program update successfully.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There were troubles with some versions and Win98 updates.
Please download the full installer of the Professional or Home version and run it. It will offer you an update to build 942 where this problem should be corrected.

avast is supported by Windows 98, no trouble.
