Can't Get License Key

My Avast says I only have 16 more days left to register.

When I right-click on Avast and chose “Register Information”, then click on “Register Now” nothing happens (and my internet is working correctly). I have tried this numerous times with the same result.

I think clicked on “Registration Form” and went on-line and filled out the form with the requested information asking for the license key to be emailed to me. I didn’t receive a rely. So I went through all the steps again and still no reply from Avast (I have checked my spam folder. Nothing there from Avast).

Can anyone help me before my time left to register expires?

Thanks.

Thanks for that but that is the “Registration Form” that I was referring to in my first post that I have filled out twice already with STILL no response from Avast.

Anybody else?

Is there an Avast Mod who can help me?

It can take up to 24 hours before you receive a mail with the key.
Currently there seem to be some delay between requesting and receiving the key.
I had to wait 20 minutes.

Thank you for posting. It has been over 24 Hrs since since my first request for a key.

If I can’t get this resolved in the next couple of weeks I guess I’ll have to uninstall Avast and install Bitdefender instead. I prefer Avast but if I can’t get Avast themselves to help me then I don’t know what to do.

Also, I called Avast’s toll free customer service last night and the person I spoke with (who was very nice by the way) didn’t even know about the online form to fill out to have the key emailed to you. He said I would need to pay Avast to go into my computer to fix the “problem”.

My only problem is that Avast WILL NOT send me an email with the key. I put in another request for it to be emailed to me this morning but I’m beginning to think I’ll never hear anything back.

After requesting a license, you did get a confirmation on the screen saying it will be send to you ?

If so, try this :

Hey Eddy. Yes, each time that I filled out the online form I got the message saying that I would get the key sent to my email within 30 minutes.

I am going to use the link you put in your post and see if anything happens with that. At this point I’m willing to try anything.

Thanks.

Eddy: Well I used the link you provided and I got a response almost instantly. Unfortunately, this is the response I got:

"Hello,

Someone, hopefully you, filled in the Avast Free Antivirus “license resend“ form on the Avast web page https://www.avast.com/resend-license-free-antivirus.php

We are sorry, but we have no record in our database of the email address provided. If you need a license key for Avast Free Antivirus, please use this online form to request one: https://www.avast.com/registration-free-antivirus.php

If you need a license for a paid-for version of Avast antivirus software, please instead use this form: https://www.avast.com/resend-license-paid.php

Best Regards

So, i clicked on the link they provided and it took me right back to the page I’ve filled out three times already. URGH!!!

I filled out the form AGAIN and this is what came up when I hit the send key:

"Your registration was successful

Your free license key is sent by email within 30 minutes after this registration.

If you do not receive your license within 24 hours, please check your junk or SPAM folder

You need to enter the license key in the program to continue to use it after the trial period expires (detailed instructions for inserting the license key are included in the email)"

Which is the same “confirmation” that I have received EVERY time that I have filled out that form.

I feel like I’m stuck in an infinite loop…

I think there was something mentioned yesterday, that avast is in the process of moving buildings and that was effecting the VPS updates. I just wonder if that could also effect other background services.

Time to submit a ticket : https://support.avast.com/support/home

I went ahead and submitted a ticket. We’ll see what happens.

Thank you VERY much Eddy, for trying to help me. I appreciate it very much.

You’re welcome.
