I’ve tried just about everything I know of it to get
rid of it, but it comesback everytime I restart the
computer.
Win32:Trojan-gen. {VC}
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\25FOPKN6\dun[1].exe
And:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\dun.exe
Win32:Trojan-gen. {VC}
I’ve tried doing schedule boot and I’ve tried he
restore system thing and it STILL comesback. My
computer is also having trouble starting up and
I am wondering if this virus could be the cause
of it.
I’m not affiliated in any way, but I like this product: it has removed a lot of Trojans other programs (ahem) have missed. There’s a free working trial download (don’t forget to download the latest definitions.)
It’s worth running if you’re cleaning a computer, as a double check or to remove stubborn Trojans.
I’ve used it a few times, so I reckon the least I can do is give it a few free plugs.
I had that virus and it did not get far enough in my system so I could just delete it but if I were you I would put it in the virus chest then try to delete it that is what i did with some viruses i could not delete and it worked out fine.

Ignore any 023 reference to avast processes, this is a hiccup in the HJT 1.99.1 (especially missing file entry for avast), if you need any help with any of the analysis let us know.
I think one of the suggested programs got rid
of it. Before I would get alerted by avast on
startup about the virus and now it doesn’t do
it. I also done a scan with avast and now there
are none now. I believe the problem is now
gone.
