Hey, i recently installed avast internet security from the New Program Update link , after uninstalling Kaspersky,but I receive a message that the file I downloaded is old and its need to download latest setup followed by “GUI was not initialized succesfully”. I never installed an avast product so this is my first time.And when I check the version of the file I downloaded its states 7.0.1456.418 while the link should download 7.0.1474.
Any solution ? Thanks
Try this
Lets reinstall Avast
Download and run KAV remover to fully uninstall Kaspersky http://support.kaspersky.com/downloads/utils/kavremover.exe
Download aswClear to your Desktop.
Download the correct version of Avast
http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_free_antivirus_setup.exe
http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_pro_antivirus_setup.exe
http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_internet_security_setup.exe
Disconnect from the net
Uninstall Avast via control panel
[*]Boot to Safe Mode.
[*] Restart the computer.
[*] As soon as BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until the Advanced Options menu appears.
[*] Use the arrow keys to select the Safe mode with Networking menu item
[*] Press Enter.
[*]Run aswClear
[*]In the Select Product to Uninstall dropdown choose the version of Avast that is on your system.

[*]Once complete reboot your system to Normal Mode
[*]Reinstall Avast
Thanks for the reply. The problem is that everytime i download from that link i end up with avast internet security version 7.0.1456.418,so i cant uninstall or use the aswclear without having it installed first
Using http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_internet_security_setup.exe as provided by essexboy results in AIS 7.0.1474.765 installer being downloaded for me.
