Can't reinstall Avast Mobile Security (Google Play not working) after hard reset

Guys,

That’s my problem right there in a nutshell. My sister encountered a problem with my phone (Ice Cream Sandwich 4) so she decided to do a hard reset (not knowing that I’ve just installed Avast Mobile. She also formatted the content of the SD card (except for some remnants that couldn’t be erased by Windows 7). Now I can’t install Avast and I have no access to Google Play.

I’d appreciate it if you could give me some sort of solution to my problem. Thank you and have a nice day!

Regards,

Mike

Hello,

I’m afraid I can only give support for our product. If you reestablish access to google play, you’ll surely be able to install our tool again.

Ooops! I’m sorry, it was my understanding that it was your product (Avast Mobile) that was causing my phone to lock down and refuse to reinstall itself again. Is there a way to remove the Anti-Theft files that’s making it difficult to restore my phone’s original factory setting?

Well, the SD card has been formatted by Windows 7? If yes, please check the format of the SD card, typically it should be formatted as ext3/4 or FAT16/32. Reaching the Play sounds like problem with Google framework - try the factory reset again and pay attention to Google account settings.

Is your device rooted? If so, are you running an AOSP ROM? (Cyanogen, AOKP, etc)
