Can't start windows-AvastSoftwareUpdater account with no other windows accounts

Problems:

  1. windows logon screen doesn’t show other accounts. It shows only “AvastSoftwareUpdater” account - password protected
  2. can’t start windows with safe mode because it still shows only password protected “AvastSoftwareUpdater” account
  3. nobody set password for this account

System: Windows Vista Home Basic
Antivirus software: AVAST Internet Security ver 7. but after maybe automatic upgrade or by manual by non-tech user it is probably ver 8 (or was as we removed all avast files - see below)

What has been done so far:

  1. we managed to start windows with boot windows CD - we have access to console mode and we can open notepad, install total commander, etc. - but it seems we don’t have administrator rights
  2. we used AvastUtility Uninstaller - but we couldn’t do it in safe mode… it removed files but nothing more
  3. we deleted all “avast files” and some older “avast 5” files from all program data directory, program files, windows, and other directories via TotalCommander
  4. when using “net user” command it shows two account (administrator and guest) with communicate “command executed succesful but there was at least one error”. Why it doesn’t show “avastsoftwareupdater” account?
