Can't turn off email signature

The Avast email signature for my gmail account is always there, although “Add a signature to the end of sent emails” is off. The mail shield wasn’t even installed, when I noticed the issue. I installed it specifically to be able to turn it off, but it doesn’t work.

Does anybody has any idea, how to turn it off?

Avast 19.4.2374 (build 19.4.4318.492), Win 10.

You may need to reboot when done

Hi,
I have the same problem! I went to the guide https://support.avast.com/en-eu/article/Antivirus-email-signature but perhaps for free users it is no longer possible to disable the signature from the mail client? Using EM client on Windows 11

Davide

Hi,

The guide still applies to Avast Free.
Did you restart your device after the change? You can also try to reinstall Avast Free.

strange … at this link: https://ibb.co/3kgjsPt
I don’t see how to configure the mails and not even the box with the option to disable the signature.
I have uninstalled by rebooting several times but i always get this error!
