I just tried to update my Adobe Reader (I’m still using 9, yikes) and I got an error message that read ‘A required privilege is not held by the client’. I’m thinking of just uninstalling the darn thing, since I never use it, but what’s this error message all about? Does anyone know?
Are you the administrator of the computer?
Yes, I am.
I’ll recommend you to just unninstall.
Adobe Reader is on 4# on the Dirty Dozen of vulnerable apps.

There are other free apps (PDF Reader/Creator) better then Adobe.
Yeah I just uninstalled it. I ran a boot scan right after to make sure everything was clean. I was just wondering what the heck was up with that error message, since I’m an admin and all…

+1
Thanks, it’s uninstalled now. I was just curious about the error message since I am the administrator. Could it have been my firewall? I use the one that came with AIS.
