Can't Update Definitions Above 120710-0 After Windows Update On July 10 2012

Windows Update on Tuesday was a Big, 9 updates if I remember correctly 600MB worth.
After that, when Avast Definitions updates I get a dark red notice…
“Last attempt to update your virus definitionswas unsuccessful” :frowning:
When I turn on my computer I get this Notice and also later in the day.
Looking at the Summery Current Status page everything is has Green Check Mark
except FireWall and Virus Definitions Version 120710-0 which has Yellow Exclamation Mark.
I try to turn FireWall on but says FireWall Not Available and try to update definitions but won’t.

You could try add or remove and try a repair. Also if you could let us know what you are using firewall window version, and any anti spyware.

My Vista is doing the same thing and I have to manually update but unsuccessfuly. Also says I am not connected to Avast but keeps telling me I am protected. I tried toi get computer to computer support but that doesn’t work either.

What do you all run on your pc’s ? firewall av’s antimalware etc.

Hi

I wanted to be careful not to just uninstall Avast because I had a problem with
Windows Update before with a program not working. So I went and tried and
Repair was an option and it worked.
