Caught them all?

Browsing today, and avast! started popping up with all kinds of warnings about blocking malicious URLs and programs. After the 3rd or 4th one, it suggested shutting down and running a boot scan - which it did. It ended up catching 17 malicious programs (I guess I told them to delete them, that’s what it appears to have done.) Everything appears to be working normally after a reboot, I did have to change my internet settings - the browsers were looking for a proxy server. I wonder if the malware did that?

Question is, other than purchasing the full version of avast! as a thank you, is there anything else that I need to do? Any other recommended actions?

When in doubt, follow up with one of these>> http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free, or http://www.superantispyware.com/

Ran them both - I’d run them before, but it’s been a while. Malwarebytes didn’t find anything, but Superanti-spyware found a whole bunch of spy/adware cookies and got rid of them. Thanks for the help!
