How can I change my email address on my Avast account?..I don’t see any option to add or amend an email address when I log in
Logon to your my.avast.com account - click on the portrait icon next to your email address - select the Manage Emails - add a new email - set that email to your default email.
I don’t have the portrait icon as described in your response 
any ideas?
Try clicking the email address, it should do the same thing - I’m always wary about clicking email addresses ;D

Might be a silly question but is there a minimum amount of postings that you have to make on the forums before you can amend details?

Lets be clear, you are logging on to the .my.avast.com account and not the forums ?
It is independent of the forum as far as having posted in the forums, so there is no limit, it is how forum logon is validated, but not post related.
Why doesn’t it work, what email are you clicking (I’m thinking you are clicking on the email in the avastUI main page) ?
Try logging on to your my.avast.com account using your browser and not via the avastUI.
The top bar is currently present only on my.avast.com. We will bring the same bar to the forum eventually.
