Right now, if I’m not wrong, both online and offline setup files have the same name of the official (non beta) stream.
We can’t distinguish one from the other. I would suggest change or append _beta in their file names.
Since we can only get the beta builds when we are notified of them in the forums, and are given links for them, the URL has beta in the path as far as I can recall.
These links are always the same and lead to latest beta build (until we change keyword beta9x which we shouldn’t do anytime soon).
Ok for the links, and for the setup files?
I don’t understand; offline setups do not contain “_online” suffix or what is the question?
I think what Lisandro is wanting is something like…
avast_setupfull
or
avast_setupstub
I don’t see what the issue is, the stub on-line installer is what 35MB and the full installer is in excess of 150MB depending on free/pro/ais/premier.
I don’t see how they can be confused, OK someone completely new to avast might no know this, but to the same end would they know what a stub/on-line installer is and what an off-line installer is.
The problem is on beta x official version.
Both of them have the same names.
It’s not online x offline.
I think Lisandro means something like “avast_internet_security_setup_beta.exe” instead of “avast_internet_security_setup.exe”

Thanks! Seems I’m talking Greek
Sorry, this is a common phrase in my language. Nothing “against” Greece
