Just installed Avast free addition.When I go to scan,I am unable to change
areas to scan in settings.I can see where I need to go,but the page is a light grey color and blocked some reason.
Help plz.
Hi xenaphobe, welcome to the forum 
It is not possible to change the default scans.
The best way to resolve this is to create a custom scan.
Open avast → “Scan Computer” tab → “Scan Now” tab → “Create Custom Scan” in the bottom right.
