I tried to virtualize Chrome on two different machines running windows XP sevice pack three with the new Internet 5 suite
They both crashed windows and I was shown the “blue screen”
I know chrome is supposed to sandbox each window as a different process, yet I thought virtualization through Avast would give an extra layer of protection against malware. Any solution ?
no problem here with Chrome virtualized, but I’m in Seven. What I wanted to say: Google Chrome is supposed to have native sandboxing abilities, how safe I have no idea, what’s visible only is that the program is installed at user level, together with the browser profile, located in app data (Windows account). So can we imagine possible conflicts when using another sandboxing utility on top of that ? I’m just wondering… also, if Chrome’s sandboxing abilitues were proven to be safe, there would be no need to use anything else with it. I need some documentation about that, will Google it…
