Chrome flash player crash problem

I found Avast blocks the Adobe Flash Player in my Chrome and cause Chrome to crash every a few minutes. Edge and IE do not have the problem. I tried to uninstall and install Chrome and Flash Player completely which could not solve the problem. I tried to turn off Avast protection which did solve the problem. So I’m pretty sure it was because of Avast. This happened since a few days ago.

Does anyone know the possible cause and solution to it?

Thank you all!

Some additional info:

  1. I see “Right-click to run adobe flash player” in Chrome. But when I right click and run the plugin, nothing happened. If I turn off the Avast protection, the flash player will pop out and work.
  2. All chrome add-ons crash when chrome crashes (showing “aw, snap!”)
  3. I’m using Windows 10 laptop with display scaling. And I cannot see my curser in Avast UI. This is probably not the reason. But just incase.

See if that fixes your problem.

Thank you for your info. I tried and it did not solve the problem. I also updated addition information in the original post.

A website where you encounter this problem may also be helpful.

Any page using adobe flash player. For example, this flash game.
http://3.d.mytopgames.net/?a=play&id=196&pid=_hpl

But all page crash, even those I don’t flash player in.

So I get the following when I follow your link:

Once I click on Allow, I see the following:

Since I’m also running Avast, it isn’t Avast that’s preventing you from running flash on this site.
I suggest you check what else is blocking flash and fix or eliminate that blockage.

Thanks!

I somehow fixed the problem by reinstall Avast!
