Chrome - JS:Boaxxe-E[Trj]

For the past couple of days I am getting this error message from Avast when I start Chrome:

Object: C:\USers..\AppData\Local.…\action.js
INfection: JS:Boaxxe-E [Trj]
Action: Moved to chest
Process: C:\Program Files (86).…\chrome.exe

I have tried running adwCleaner, Superantispyware, ESET and Malwarebytes. Nothing worked. Can someone tell me how to get rid of it? Thanks.

Hi,

Reset Chrome browser back to defaults and see will that fix the problem.

If does not help, post the FRST logs. For guide, take a look at top thread, named ‘Logs to assist in cleaning malware’.

Last week I had the Boaxxe trojan on my computer, too, and I reset Chrome to defaults as suggested. That worked for me but…Boaxxe is back today!
