Chrome Protection Disabled

Dear Guys,
I’m new to Andriod, been with windows for thirty years!
I have a Lenovo Tablet with Android 6.0 on it.
I installed Avast, as withing two days of using it, it was infested with adverts.
I started from scratch - Installed and scanned with Avast.
It’s been almost problem free.
Every two days or so, I get a warning that Chrome Protection is Disabled.
Pop-ups start to appear.
I enable the protection, but within a day of so, some Chinese malware is detected, I resolve this immediately, Scan, and am told to switch the Protection on again.
I’m seriously regretting Android?
Is it really so full of holes?
Should I have to remove malware every other day?
why doesn’t Avast stop the protection being disabled?
Why doesn’t Avast stop these popups and Chinese Malware programmes being installed?
It’s not like I’m using any dodgy sites either, just news and basic browsing. I’ve even stopped using email since I rebuilt from scratch. Looks like another rebuild coming up, as I’m now unable to use the machine, it has an Aldi advert that wont go away.

Please tell me Andriod’s not a shonky as this, and I’m missing something.

I would never expect this on Windows…

Thanks for your time

Jeremy

Hi, the app loses “Accessibility permission” after closing or rebooting due to an Android bug. The only solution at the moment is the device system update (if available).

Another option is that some app keeps killing the Avast Mobile Security (AMS) running in the background - when it happens, AMS loses “Accessibility permission”, which makes the Chrome protection stop working.

Most probably you use some power saving mode or a task killer app, or you have disabled the AMS permanent notification (in Settings > Notifications). Please check these and let me know, if the problem persists, thanks.

In my case avast tells.me it is off. But when I check, it is on. Everything is updated.

Hi, please try this then:

Go to your tablet’s Settings → Power Manager → Background, and allow there Avast Mobile Security (AMS) to run in the background.

If it doesn’t help, go to Settings → Accessibility, and turn it on for AMS (or, if it is enabled already, just turn it off and on again).

If it still doesn’t work, please turn the whole device off and on again, then check the Accessibility again.
