Hi everyone, last night after updating Avast Cleanup premium, when I scan for junk it goes up to 80% then gets stuck. I have to close it and reopen it. If I rescan, same thing happens. The problem is also happening in my desktop too. I use cleanup on my laptop and desktop. So I think the problem is with the software itself. Anyone else having troubles?
Yea me too. After I got the message saying most update or looking for new update. Now, when I do second time scan the scanning for junk gets stuck at 80 percent and doesnt move.
I have been having the exact same issue on Avast Cleanup Premium - the ‘Clean Junk’ scan gets to 80% and won’t move beyond that point. I have ended all processes for the application, done the Uninstall/ Repair, and downloaded the current version on the customer portal, done a full clean install, and it’s the same issue - it just hangs @ 80% and won’t move beyond it.
I recall having the same issue a year or so ago and I’ve forgotten what I had to do to finally get it working again. Very annoying. Would appreciate some Avast Support for this issue.
It’s probably a bug that was in the new update. Why arent the developers fixing this?? Its been 4 days
Yes, mine too, 80% even scan history says ….last scan…never.

follow-up to my post above. this is a basic function of Cleanup and the problem should have been seen and corrected during testing of the software update! windows 10 system here.
