Hi,
I’m use avast anti virus on my laptop. I am using 8.1. My machine is HP Probook 4540s.
I have inserted my friend’s usb . after connecting it avast reminds me the virus detection reminder. My laptop was about about to turn off … when I start my laptop again since then cmd prompt opens and closes automatically for 2 or 3 secs. Is there malware/virus present in my laptop?? Kindly help me to fix this problem.
i noticed that my laptop speed is also affected too. Help me! :-[
Thanks
I’m going to guess that USB is infected.
Download MCShield from Here. It will come in handy.
THEN
Go Here
Download and Run: OTL, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware & aswMBR
Attach the following log files in your next reply.
- OTL.txt
- Extras.txt
- aswMBR.txt
- Malwarebytes.txt
Monitoring…
Sorry. TinHeadedEagle has informed me (I forgot) that aswMBR is not usable on Windows 8.1/8. So don’t run it.
Okay. One more thing malwarebytes is popping a notification like this
Malware blocked
path is C:\Program Files(x86)\uTorrent\uTorrent.exe
I have selected quarantine in action(in malwarebytes). Did I do right?
And sorry i deleted Extras.txt by mistake.
Hi,
Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool by Farbar and save it to your desktop.
Note: You need to run the version compatibale with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them.
Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.
[*]Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
[*]Under Optional Scan ensure “List BCD” and “Driver MD5” are ticked.
[*]Press Scan button.
[*]It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
[*]The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.
Scanned.
But the malwarebytes is still giving me the notification of utorrent. :-[
what message? … post screenshot or log
attached.
it seems uTorrent.exe is trying to connect to IP 89.28.16.222
IP is blacklisted by apews.org
Oooops 89.28.16.222 is currently listed in APEWS :-( Entry matching your Query: E-202150 89.28.0.0/17 CASE: C-130 One or more bots in ASN / CIDR, unprofessional / negligent owner History: Entry created 2007-06-03
Oh. Tell me how can I get rid of this? :-[
Do you still have CMD flashing windows? About uTorrent you can add it to Whitelist. In MalwareBytes setting there is WebExclusion option. Add process and you’ll be fine.
Please download zoek.zip or zoek.rar by smeenk (
http://www.mcshield.net/personal/magna86/Images/Zoek_icon.png
) from here or here and save it to your Desktop.
Unpack the archive…
[*]Close any open browsers
[*]Temporarily disable your AntiVirus program. (If necessary)
If you are unsure how to do this please read this or this Instruction.
[*]Double click on zoek.exe to run the tool .
Please wait for the tool to start…
[*]Copy the text present inside the code box below and paste it into the large window in the zoek tool:
createsrpoint;
emptyfolderscheck;delete
autoclean;
emptyclsid;
emptyalltemp;
ipconfig /flushdns;b
[*]Click on
http://www.mcshield.net/personal/magna86/Images/Run%20Script%20by%20zoek.png
button.
Please wait until a logreport will open (this can be after reboot)
[*]Save notepad to your Desktop and attach here zoek-results.log
Note: It will also create a log in the C:\ directory named “zoek-results.log”
No man. The problem of cmd flashing window is now okay.
And If I’m adding utorrent in process then it opens a window for utorrent update. :-
attaching log file.
Zoek didn’t performed good. Please disable Avast and try again.
