When i go to move my avast to the trash for my mac it says that i cannot continue emptying my trash because com.avast.macavast.mad is still running. How do i turn it off so i can delete the application?

I would have though that this would have been better in the Unix/Linux/Mac forum, it should get noticed more easily as a Mac/avast issue and get a better answer than my suggestion below.
I don’t use the Mac version so I don’t know what version it is running and if it has the self-defence module like in the windows 4.8 version. If it has the self-defence module try disabling it.
