Community Images fail to show, giving 404 error

I am not seeing any images, even one I have posted myself, within posts on the Community Forum today. I have tried with Firefox and Opera browsers with same result.
The image just has blank space and “image”.
If attempt to open image in new tab, get 404 error.

I guess something is wrong at server end, maybe result of recent Community website maintenance.

Is it just me or are other members seeing the same thing?

Also, every time I post, I see a “Internal Server Error” window immediately after posting, but the post seems to load regardless.

Definitely something amiss with the Forum server me thinks.

Edit: I have actually managed to upload a screenshot of the Internal Server Error:

But I still cannot see images posted by others or previously by myself.

@NON Thanks for confirmation that it is not just me experiencing this Internal Server Error issue. It’s the weekend so maybe we are stuck with it untill Monday.

So much for the Forum Maintenance Update - seems to have broken more that whatever it was maintaining.

I use Images a lot and this is a pain in the rear.

It maintained the broken status of the forum.

Prior to this latest planed maintenance the forums appeared to be working reasonably well.

After the latest planned maintenance, images are screwed (going to try adding one in this post), translation icon is no longer there, often posts fail, internal server whilst it is shown as

Replying continues to be a minefield with "draft error’, “Draft is being edited in another window” whilst trying to compile a reply. All in all a pain in the backside.

Got an internal server error twice whilst trying to post and attach image, but eventually it appeared.

When I posted my reply I also got the Internal Server Error, and the compose message window was still open, but the post had been placed, and stayed after discarding the draft (which likely would’ve been a double post, or possibly even an never-ending loop. Fun)

Edit: the exact same thing happened with this post.

Hello everyone, I have the same problem, I went to help someone here on the forum when I posted it twice because I thought it hadn’t gone through the first time.

It seems like the issue might indeed be server-related, especially since multiple browsers show the same problem. Hopefully, the community team can resolve it soon, as it could be linked to the recent maintenance.

It’s so frustrating that things like this happen, and there is no response from Avast in any shape or form. It just stays broken for days or maybe weeks, without any indication that they are aware of the problem or are working on a fix. Same with the actual Avast AV problems. Just silence.

I feel this pretty accurately shows us how we are valued as users and persons. Which is: not at all.

They are aware of the issue and taking a look of it. Reply was done on another channel (hidden thread).

Hidden threads. Wonderful.

Did they also explain why they keep people in the dark?

Even in the old forums there were topics that could be accessed by certain members to draw attention to topics that needed Avast Attention.

It is there so certain members can raise issues without the threads becoming swamped as they have in other areas.

You seem to be turning into mister angry of late.

Where the hell is this coming from? You must be reading things I haven’t said.

Internal discussions really don’t count. Regular users of the public forum and the software are kept out of the loop completely. Stuff is broken and they don’t acknowledge any of it. The whole black box mentality kills trust in Avast as a company and it is weird that they seem oblivious to this.

You’re seeing mirages. I’m critical. Not angry. There is a difference.

Oh and you finish off with ‘Learn the Difference’, was there any need for that, I think not.

Kind of proving my point.

You do need to learn the difference.

Hi, if you have the link, send it to me. I want to see what they are resolving on this matter. I like to stay informed/curious.
