I have Avast IS. Apparently the spyware protection leaves a bit to be desired because when I open SUPERAntiSpyware Free and scanned it found 33 items. I have Spyware Doctor but already know that it doesn’t get along real well with Avast. If I purchased the paid version of SUPER, what is the likelihood (or not) that it would run alongside Avast without problems?
Super can run side by side with avast.
Super is well known to overhype its capabilities, calling cookies as adwares…
You don’t say what the 33 items were ?
No doubt cookies, which aren’t an issue and can switch that option off in the scan settings.
I use the SAS Pro version and no issues with avast.
Thank you for the replies. I think I will go ahead and purchase SUPER; just didn’t want to spend money on another program that wasn’t going to run with Avast.
You’re welcome.
Your other option is MBAM Pro (same thing a one off fee, slightly higher cost than SAS Pro) and that also works with avast.
I had already purchased my copy of SAS Pro before I ever used MBAM free. If I were starting out I would probably go for MBAM Pro and SAS Free, whatever you choose, only one resident anti-spyware/malware, the other if you choose should be on-demand.
