Malwarebytes would be the top choice to use with avast by a long shot imo, as for browsers it is really personal choice for what you used too and what suite your needs.
it is a install and forget program.
apart form the update check evry 2 hours (default) it use no computer resources, it is dormant until you connect a usb device
MalwareBytes Free is a good addition as long as you update it before each scan.
If you want to purchase a license do before MBAM v2.0 is released.
Now is a lifetime use with real-time protection. After v2.0 release it will
be an annual fee.
If you choose to use Comodo Firewall may I suggest you use v5.12 since v6.x.xxx seems to be bloated.
CFW v5.12 is lighter than v6.x.xxx If you decide on Comodo Firewall “disable” the “behavior blocker” as it will create a conflict with avast.
Download CFW v5.12 from here.
Easy to follow instructions to install any version of CFW can be found here.
Never heard of this - is it new-ish? Can’t this scan the hard drive as a second opinion scanner using its malware sigs?
BTW, how far do you go - can’t you scan with the free on demand malware / virus scanner of each security software vendor out there like Kaspersky, Norton, Norman, Emsisoft, Bitdefender, etc along with regular and popular scanners of MBAM and SAS?
