Removed Java in the Control Panel. Searched the Registry , found no entries.
In Start - Searched programs and files, found 1813 files.
db_java.map. JavaScript etc etc.
How can I delete all 1813 files? Only possible to select one file at a time.

Run a registry cleaner like CCleaner , or Privazer.
Java and Java Script are not the same so I would not just delete anything that has “java” in its name.
One that you mention appears to belong to avast (definitions).

Rather than play with the registry which could be dangerous run this small programme http://singularlabs.com/software/javara/ and select remove javare
Essexboy. Javara did not delete them.
AdrianH CCleaner didn,t find the files.
I selected Show more in Start Programs and files. That did list every one of 1817 files. However I noted Avast and Adobe cs5…
In fact the majority were cs5 related. So I am leaving them.
At least Java will not run after the control panel deletion.
