Computer Freeze

My computer keeps freezing every 30mins or after screensaver. I think it is caused by a virus, but i’ve used MBAM and avast boot-time scan but i still can’t find the virus. Can anyone help me?
P.S. I think it is caused by a trojan Windows Live, because i download it from another site , not from the microsoft site. I’ve tried deleting everything of the Windows Live, and the only thing which i cant seem to uninstall is Windows Live Sign-in Assistant. I can’t find the files of this program in Program Files too, nor can i uninstill them during safe mode.

did you update Malwarebytes before you scanned ?

What is it you have downloaded ? Is It Micrososft Security essentials you have downloaded ? or is it a rogue program you have ?

Yes, it was updated. Btw, here are the OTL logs. I excluded the “create restore point” as that part causes my comp to freeze.

The whole Windows Live Essentials, the messenger is workable, can’t determine whether it is rogue or not.

you have lots of leftovers after earlier used security programs

AhnlabAntiVirus / ComputerAssociatesAntiVirus / KasperskyAntiVirus / McAfeeAntiVirus / McAfeeFirewall /
PandaAntiVirus / PandaFirewall / SophosAntiVirus / SymantecAntiVirus / SymantecFirewall / TinyFirewall / TrendAntiVirus / TrendFirewall / ZoneLabsFirewall

while waithing for Essexboy you can try running this

AppRemover http://www.appremover.com/
Using AppRemover http://www.appremover.com/about/using-appremover.html

You can also find removal tools here http://uninstallers.blogspot.com/

Essexboy is usually in here 8:00pm - 11:59pm uk time

I don’t think i have used before every above antivirus.

well it`s in the log …

Uh, the only program that is detected by AppRemover is Alwil Software’s avast! antivirus, is there any problem with your above list?

The AppRemover will probably only detect and remove programs that are fully installed…

So i guess you have to use the removal tools for each and every program to clean out the leftovers…
If this have to do with your comp freezing i do not know, but removing the leftovers wont hurt…

Hi I can see no indications of malware

766.00 Mb Total Physical Memory this is a bit borderline

Lets try a little TLC first

Clear Cache/Temp Files
Download TFC by OldTimer to your desktop

[*] Please double-click TFC.exe to run it. (Note: If you are running on Vista, right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator).
[*]It will close all programs when run, so make sure you have saved all your work before you begin.
[*]Click the Start button to begin the process. Depending on how often you clean temp files, execution time should be anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or two. Let it run uninterrupted to completion.
[*]Once it’s finished it should reboot your machine. If it does not, please manually reboot the machine yourself to ensure a complete clean.

THEN

Download and run Puran Disc Defragmenter
For the first run I would recommend a boot defrag and disk check

While using TFC, my computer freeze when it reached “Cleaning Recycle Bin” part, when i restarted my comp, i found out that double-clicking or right-clicking the recycle bin will cause my computer to freeze.

OK lets see if there is anything, but I feel this is more hardware than software

Download ComboFix from one of these locations:

Link 1
Link 2

* IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

[*]Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools

[*]Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.

[*]As part of it’s process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it’s strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.

[*]Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it’s malware removal procedures.

Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message:

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.

Here is the log. The problem still prevails even after ComboFix. A slight lag whenever running applications and freezing when clicking the Recycle Bin, i can’t gain access to RECYCLER, as it causes my comp to freeze too.

BTW, avast!'s Network Shield just detected and prevented a DCOM Exploit, I couldn’t give you anymore details as i can’t find the log.

DCOM exploit is just a probe from an online system against a very old exploit that MS patched with SP 1

Download Speedfan and install it. Once it’s installed, run the program and post here the information it shows. The information I want you to post is the stuff that is circled in the example picture I have attached.
If you are running on a vista machine, please go to where you installed the program and run the program as administrator.

http://artellos.geekstogo.com/speedfan.png

(this is a screenshot from a vista machine)

There is no fans showed on SpeedFan as im using a laptop with no built-in fan, i’ve bought an external fan that is linked to it via USB port. Here are the temps.
GPU:63
HD0:43
Temp1:63
Core:76
Core:64
Ambient:0

The temperatures are too high - they should be at least 20/30 degrees cooler

The possible cause is a failure of the themal paste on your CPU it will need replacing. I am also surprised that there is no fan. Could you check that all vents are clear

Here are my temperatures

Uh, well, i know they may cause lag. But, what does the above have to do with my Recycle Bin problem, any relation?

If there is a lot in the recycle bin to go then the temperature problem will cause a freeze, if you do not get it fixed soon your computer will be toast
