Computer hangs on visiting ebay.com website

My computer hangs on visiting ebay.com website (everything freezes I can do nothing to avoid this). This happens every time when I visit ebay.com website (happens after loading webpage in IE8), only sometimes I can successfully visit this website in IE8 (2 out of 10 times I can successfully visit the website).

I am a regular visitor of ebay.com, how can I successfully visit this website without hang.

I’m a regular visitor to ebay and have zero problems with firefox 3.5.4. I on occasion have to use IE7 and again no problems, so the only difference is your using IE8, so perhaps some security setting in IE8.

Unfortunately I can’t help with any settings as I don’t use IE8, though there are many that do and possibly visit ebay without problem. So we will have to await some input from them.

As you can see from the picture, I have no problems getting to ebay.com using IE8.
Have you done any tweaking in IE8’s settings as David mentioned ???

Never tried any other browser.

I like IE8 the most and dont want to leave it.
I think Firefox is good one. Can I use Firefox with IE8 installed.

Yes you can use firefox and I.E.8 on the same computer. When you download firefox you should be able to create a quick launch icon and a desktop icon. Then you can either launch firefox or I.E.8 from their respective icons.

I had this set up once.

Yes there is no problem in using either firefox or opera or chrome in conjunction with IE8, browsers don’t conflict like security applications.

Firefox also has ad-ons that bolster security like NoScript, which prevents sites running scripts unless you explicitly allow them.
