Concerns - Does Avast Free AV include email scanner?

i received a new laptop with windows 11. I decided to install Avast free AV as the download page stated that amongst all the protection it offered, it also included an email shield. Pls see screenshot

however, once downloaded, when i tried to find the email shield I couldn’t find it. Instead i found a tab for email guardian BUT when i clicked on this, i found that this was a chargeable extra. pls see screenshot below

is anyone able to explain this discrepancy?

Avast Free has Mail Shield.

Check: Protection → Core Shields → Mail Shield

You can customize it via Settings → Protection → Core Shields → (scroll down) → Configure shield settings → Mail Shield

Email Guardian is for webmail.
