Connection error: ta-cdn.avast.com

Trying to install avast! anti-theft on my LG Optimus Elite and received the error message “Connection error: ta-cdn.avast.com” when the software tries to download my “customized installer package”. Not sure how to solve this problem. One other post about this a couple of months ago, but the solution wasn’t clear from the thread. Any help would be appreciated. Tx.

Also, the avast! app, which I downloaded yesterday, indicates that it is outdated and when I attempt to update it, returns the message “Connection to the update server failed. Check your Internet connectivity and try again.”

the message means the app can’t reach the update servers. Are you sure you are not blocking avast! in your firewall (can be avast! itself)/router etc or that your ISP isn’t blocking the sites? (I suppose you have Internet connection enabled on your device while trying it.)

I also face the trouble about the avast mobile has not been updated the virus database automatically. Anyhow when I click “Settings” —> “Check for updates now”, it can be updated manually to the latest version. Please note I’m using the Samsung Galaxy S II / ICS 4.0.3.

Hi,

there might be troubles updating if you don’t have persistent data connection in the current version. There will be a tweak in the next version which will hopefully fix that.

I uninstalled the avast mobile security and reinstall a new version but the problem still there. But I discover something when I run a vpn app the application automatically updated.
My question now, Is avast has a restrictions to certain countries from accessing there updating servers because even in my PC I couldn’t update my avast home?!

I like to know if there is a solution to the connection error, Its like I could not install avast rooted on any new device again, what I get mostly is
Connection error: failed to connect to ta-cdn.avast.com/77.234.41.85 (port 443)"
