Constant browsing IE8 crash win xp, avast v9.2007

On test computer there is constant browser crash on IE8 on windows xp system while browsing google and other sites. IE8 COMES UP INTERNET HAS A PROBLEM AND SORRY FOR THE INCOVEIANCE AND WILL CLOSE BLAH BLAH Dialogue box. (Windows event log application hang 8.0 6001. 18702. 0x0000000 address.)

IE8 Very slow opening also?.

Avast Addons are running avast security. Confirmed that avast version 8 does not cause the problem. Turning off the security addons in version 9 stops the browser crashing.

This appears to be another XP related issue. Which I’m sure avast is aware of.
Hopefully we will get a fix via a program update. For now many XP users are
sticking with v8.0 :slight_smile:

Yes Avast v9 does cause stability issues confirmed. Back on version 8 for now untill new release of 9 is out later on beyond v9.2007
