Constant "Malware Found" and Blue Screen

I know Thanksgiving is probably the wrong time to post this, but I’ve had this problem or two for a week now where my computer can’t shut down or restart properly without getting a Blue Screen error when I start Windows “normally”. Between every 20 minutes and hour that I’m on the Internet, I get 3 constant “threat has been detected” errors, but I’ve done numerous boot scans already and got rid of the alleged virus(es), yet it still keeps popping up. I started getting Blue Screen errors last month, but that was mainly due to a few drivers needing an update and it worked fine for a few weeks after. Can anybody pinpoint the error? Should I upload my boot and/or dump files in a folder? I can wait for the next couple days. Thank you in advance.

there is a forum section for malware problems… virus and worms

repost there and attach screen shots of the warning pop ups.

Thank you, I just assumed this one was related to everything on the free program. I’ll snip them when they come back up.

if you have not rebooted…right click avast tray icon…show last popup
click the pin in top righ corener to make it stay on screen…take screen shot

I’ve been having trouble posting a new topic in the Viruses and malware section, so I’ll post an attachment below.

Do you have Anti-Phishing Domain Advisor installed?

I have the exact same problems with the shut down part and blue screen, it restarts several times and seems to clean the system and its fine for a days use, but shut down doesnt happen normal and the repair process repeats the next morning.

I uploaded the log below.

hi,

Good job. Is your computer better? See a bit of webc**p was removed.

If you need further assistance, you can go here: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0 and upload (attach) the other three program logs from programs specified in this link: Malwarebytes, OTL, aswMBR.exe. Do this only if your issues seem not to be resolved yet.

hi john.glenn,

Irregardless if the issue seems the same, it may, in fact, be not. OP seems not to have to repair his system on start up, for example.

Please start a new thread at ‘Viruses and worms’ when logged on and start it by clicking [color=blue]“NEW TOPIC”[color] [color=black]button upper right of viruses and worms board. Go here to get the programs you need to run and attach the logs produced.[color]; http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0 You will need AdwCleaner, Malwarebytes, OTL, aswMBR.exe.

Any cleansing and/or repair is specifically made only for that system and no other. Attempting to follow along and using repairs for the OP’s system could completely cripple your system, so…

I just installed it.

Yes; none of the three red blocks have appeared today. I installed Malwarebytes and it says no threats have been detected. Thank you! I’ll try restarting and let you know if it still doesn’t work though.

Monitoring

Sorry, you misunderstood me. I wanted to know if you have it already installed not to install it. Because the avast popups were caused by this program.

Why reinvent the wheel??? there is already a tutorial posted in this thread. Simply follow it.
