Links are clean…

thanks tech…always to try to be on the safe side of things in everything you do my friend

Not wanting to put words into avatar2005’s mouth, but I you feel the software is dangerous, in the same way as for when posting links to suspect files we ask users to break the link so that it isn’t clickable/active (http :// www . adwarealert . com / index.php). That way if anyone is inquisitive enough they can re assemble the link at their own risk.

My personal thought are if you feel that it is dangerous, why give it the air of publicity and a link to it. The link, which might well show clean at present, there is no guarantee of what might be on a site in the future if the software is considered dangerous I wouldn’t trust a site with that software on it.

It is entirely possible to quote the reason why it might be dangerous and the link of the quote, but not a link to the offending/dangerous software’s web site.

http://www.fbmsoftware.com/…/…/AdwareAlert/

Description of AdwareAlert AdwareAlert advertises itself as an antispyware application whose stated purpose is to scan pc from spyware, adware, Trojans, and other malware applications. Once installation completes, the program will update its database and will prompt you to scan your system. On the other hand, the program does not properly detect spyware infections instead leading to false positives and won't remove detected spyware unless you buy the full version. There is no Privacy Policy or EULA in their website and to the program itself. There’s not enough information about the company/ vendor available in their website as well.

Maybe I was too tough with drhayden1 ::slight_smile: ???, but in his case I think the same way as you.

Sorry once again 8)
