Hi there, I was doing a weekly scan when avast! flagged two of these programs as Win32:Trojan-gen {other} in the Netopia folder. I tried to upload them to VirusTotal but they’re over 10 MB.

It happened in version 080704-1.
Whilst I think this might well be an FP a pain if the CopyDrivers98ME_Silent.exe/CopyDrivers98ME.exe are over 10MB which would seem strange for win89/me drivers.
I would send them to the chest for safety, they can always be restored later, it shouldn’t be an issue (you might need to change the Program Settings, Chest, max file size so the file can be sent to the chest) as they relater to win9rme and you are on XP.
I have sent an email to virus (at) avast dot com, to try and draw attention to this topic and see if they can come up with a solution, possibly ftp the file to avast.
Are you able to zip one of the files, so that it would be less than 10MB to see if that can be uploaded to VT.
It would appear this is being detected by another AV as worm.win32.netsky see MajorGeeks forum, http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=1123749. It still seems strange though.
I got a windows error saying “File not found or no read permission” when I tried to zip the file.
this false positive is fixed in actual vps update (080704-2), please update your avast.
