I ran into a weird scan result in which a file in avast named awsAr1.log which is have no clue how important it is or what it is for.
The scan error goes, “The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable(1392)”
It is the anti-rootkit scan log, it can be safely deleted as avast will recreate it the next time you initiate a scan which includes the anti-rootkit scan.
when I downloaded the update I got an error msg of Error reading data from "C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast5\Setup\part-set_ais-557.vpx."Setup cannot continue. I have never seen that and dont know what that means. can anyone help with a fix or info on what that is! thank you very much for the help.
