Crash Avast Pro 5.1.889 and Incredibuild

We have Avast Pro 5.1.889 and we use Incredibuild 3.20 on Windows Vista SP2 x32 PC.

Since upgrade to 5.1.889 when we launch a build with Incredibuild from the coordinator PC, a crash in “cl.exe” appear.

I tried to disable totally Avast, but no luck. After uninstalling Avast the problem was gone.
I tried to reinstall Avast (directly 5.1.889, so no update issues involved) and the problem returned.

With 5.0.667 there was no problems.

Hi,

Give this a try:

Can you uninstall the behavior shield only and see if it works? Use control panel > uninstall/change > change and deselect behavior shield (see pic)

I have already uninstalled Avast Pro and switched to MSE free.

Our PC is a production PC and I can’t beta test Avast products. I’ll retry with the next Avast release, hoping that it will be tested better >:(

There isn’t a beta test opened in the very moment… Right now, 5.1 version is a stable one.

Very stable for me as well.

I know it. It was a complaint. 5.1.889 has surely not been tested enough if there are so many issues (as I see in this forum) and should be retired and return to beta stage.

We are talking about a complete fail in my company due to the sudden inability to build C++ projects, caused by the automatic update of Avast.

Do you use Incredibuild or other dozen of software listed in this forum that have issues with this update?

I don’t use Incredibuild so I can’t comment.
