well my comp is RIP spare parts are left it was the mulitboard that burned out thats what the tech said it was a 5 year old comp tech said finding a mulitboard is going to be a task but im just going to let it rest in peace but what i do wanna know is the mulitboard consider the motherboard and whats the lifespan of a mutilboard or motherboard can also can the computer have burned out cause i had it hooked to a 42 inch lcd tv maybe too much POWER the tv had a vga outlet does it matter if the computer is up to date bought out of the store today or five years old when i hook it to the tv
Hi…
I don’t think hooking it up to the tv had anything to do why the board burned up. Many video cards are manufactured with the added capabilty of hooking up a television set and the only thing your tv should have received was a signal from the video card as to what to display.
However, there is a chance I could be wrong and something strange happened. :
Up until your post, I had never heard of a multiboard computer. I’ve seen motherboards having daughterboards and other proprietory setups but never a multiboard. I think you’re probably better off purchasing a new computer, to be honest. When the motherboard burned up, it could have burnt other components, too.
Best Regards…
ardvark is right, you are better off getting a new machine. Motherboards don’t usually burn out on their own, its usually a bad power supply, in which case it most likely damaged other components as well.
Yep … I agree with Ardvark and Mac.
