I just installed the latest version of Avast Free and I want to create a rescue disk. I thought it was under the protection tab but can’t find it on the selections. Can someone tell me please where to look? Thanks.
Stupid me, I found it. It is under Protection on the upper right hand corner of the Scan screen in case anyone misses it like I did…
Yes, a lot of people were expecting to see it as an option during the installation. It is also in the Components section of the UI (possibly as I never installed it).
It really isn’t easy to define where it should go, since I never installed the Rescue Disk option, it doesn’t appear in the Protection section of the UI.

I’m waiting for this to disappear since it’s getting harder and harder to find. 
Already gone from there on mine, presumably because it isn’t installed. I only have it as an option in the Components section of the UI, to allow installation if wanted.
If not installed, it’s not going to show.
