Creditcard number generator,WTF?!!

Hello all

My friend just sent me these few links, he s not part of this forum (or any for that matter) so he’s asked me to post this question.

Here is couple of links and you all can take a peek:

http[column]//www[dot]dasofts[dot]com/software/812-aio-credit-card-tools-v2[dot]html
and this one too:
http[column]//www[dot]dasofts[dot]com/software/715-aio-credit-card-tools[dot]html

I mean what’s happening to this f******g Wolrd!!! Now every stupid moron out there can basically generate some credit card number so he can sign into porn sites or those warez/pirate archives. Well, I don’t care, but what happens if they generate your own credit card number by accident? Your credit card will be drained out in no time, even before you notice anything and report it to your credit card provider!!!

Can someone shed some light on this please ? Is this really a possibility ? If that’s the case, I’m canceling my own immediately.

BTW, my buddy’s sent me these two links as well. These pages contains links to pirated USB avast! and avast! Pro with keymaker. Will anyone do anything about this ? Isn’t there anyone who can stop these thieves?!!!

avast! USB version among few other AV programs:

avast! Pro with keygen:

I certainly don’t think posting all these links is helping to discourage piracy.
We are all aware of them but posting them only promotes piracy.

Hello bob3160,

We all have been young, and curious, and then it is true that cybercrime is taking over from the malcreant that did it for fame or the hacker that wanted to help the anti-malware community or just wanted the laurels from his friends, so they would look up to him. Now all these motives can be spelled out under one word and very appropriate to the subject at hand: M O N E Y. And nitwit cybercriminals like to compromise hackers and malcreants to use them for their devious ends.
Yes Internet is becoming like the Wild Wild West (WWW) of old, we sure need the sheriff and a posse!

Damian

I simply asked few questions…
What do you think by “I certainly don’t think posting all these links is helping to discourage piracy…”. There is like a million of warez websites and every single person in this forum and everywhere else for that matter knows about them. Posting these few links is just to show the exact program my friend was concerned about, what’s wrong in it. If you are afraid you will be tempted to click and download those few pirated applications, then forums like this one is not a good place for you. I thought you guys know better than this. If you are not capable of answering the question from the first post, I’d appreciate I get an answer from someone else who knows what he is talking about.

Is this credit card number generator really that dangerous and how come no one is doing anything to punish its creators ? Simple question requires simple answer.

Posting those links is not promoting piracy at all, it just draws forum members’ attention to these sites so someone can finally do something about this crap. If no one is willing to even try something, then why do we all bother ?

I think bob was just meaning that this becomes one more link for a “would-be” criminal to click on. Out of sight out of mind and this forum would not be an enabler so to speak. However… you’re right too. If no one is made aware of these particular links/programs then no one can do anything about them. I don’t think that the people here are the ones that could do anything about them though. Those links should be sent to the proper authorities on the matter. The pirated avast links should have been sent through email to alwil instead of posted openly on the forum. The credit card number generator should have maybe been sent to either the hosting provider or even law enforcement. No one here can do anything about that program.

There isn’t a working version of avast for USB drive. Besides piracy, it’s fake.
The other, the keymaker, it’s just try… when you try to update avast you’ll get the error.

I’m not able to answer your question. Sorry.

Posting those links is not promoting piracy at all,
It may not promote piracy but it sure makes it available from a legitimate site.

Agreed! Sorry, I am not sure how to contact Alwil guys. Can someone else point their attention to these links and then I could simply remove this whole link thing from the first post (not sure though I can edit it).

I am really concerned about this whole credit card scam and posting links in security forum was nothing but hope that someone in here can do something about it. People need to see it. If I don’t show it here, I am sure these links will be posted somewhere else. It’s better if we find them here and alarm someone before someone else post them so everybody can find them on Google, right?

That was my only attention.

Links are changed, still there but not clickable and not searchable by web spiders. I still want somebody to take a look at this and suggest some site where we could maybe report it or something.

Best advice i can give you about that card generator is to give your bank a call and ask them about this.

hum, good advice except this wasn’t just for my personal concern. For things like this, I’m pretty positive we all should give our banks a call. this should be alarming for everybody and not just for one person. Problem is; even if I call them they’ll do nothing about it. Usually they won’t do anything until s**t happens. :o

There would be no problem in creating randomly generated 16 digit numbers that could well match up with a legit CC number. However, that isn’t the only security (certainly not in the UK) on the use of your Credit Card for internet purchases, etc. you have to provide a security code that is printed on the back of your CC.

My bank also requires that if a purchase is over a certain value (and this isn’t high) then there is another step to comply with and a different security code to enter. With those steps a randomly generated number even if it hit on a legit one shouldn’t be able to be used without these codes.

If a site doesn’t ask for this code (or your bank doesn’t require additional steps) and you have an unauthorised purchase then you can contact your CC provider and get the monies credited and the on-line merchant would have to stand the loss as they aren’t doing enough to prevent CC fraud.

Yes, a pain in the rear but it isn’t or shouldn’t be as simple as randomly generating a 16 digit number.

thank you DavidR, this makes things little easier. Still, creators of such a tool should be punished. It’s not a minor thing to mess with credit cards/money using illegal ways. Things like that should be prevented and when they already happen like this, creators should be punished.
Thank you sir one more time.

You’re welcome.
