Critic to convert re Avast 5

Having been a critic in the past regarding several Avast builds and their various failings, I would like to say that I downloaded Avast 5.0.418, virus defs 1000217-1 and it is running like a dream :slight_smile: My very best thanks to the development Team. In my opinion, this is the best free AV on the market, and with a really modern UI. Thanks for all your efforts guys and gals, constantly under a lot of flak and serious pressure from us impatient members on this Forum, YOU DID GOOD :slight_smile:

While their seem to be some random bugs floating around, I couldnt agree with you more.

Every other solution has drastically more issues, as well as hogging up my system time. Avast! 5 is like getting a whole new PC again, without having to reinastall every week!!!

Agreed hyjax, I used NOD 32 before, and I REALLY BELIEVE that the solution to most of the Avast install and run problems is due to previous AV’s being uninstalled properly. I personally use the free RevoUninstaller to get a clean slate, so to speak. Link :
