How long time does it takes from “new virus” detection till creation of virus signature for avast update?
Depends… from few hours (two, six…) to days.
Depends how dangerous is the virus, depends if it is in the wild and fastly spreeding in Internet…
Thank you, I almost forgot that clamav can use alterative databases that can be created with “sigtool” that follows with it.
sigtool --md5 virus > virus.hdb
