Cursormania

Hi and sorry if I’m repeating an older thread but I think I may have made a problem worse due to being a noob.
My kids downloaded cursormania onto their pc’s (without my knowledge).
Both were still running and avast had not picked up the virus (that I know of). Then 1 of the pc’s stopped running a game - it would load the title screen appeared then the program terminated.
My first thought was to run a virus scan which I did (boot time) as the scan was running it picked up on a number of issues which due to being a noob I didn’t make a note of. When the issues were picked up there were a series of choices delete - quarantine ect but the only option that would move the scan on was ignore - all the others generated an error or inability to perform the requested action.
After running the boot time scan everything on the computer was very unstable programs not executing - avast shut down - firewall turned off with no way to turn it back on.
Then I ran Ad-aware which froze and the same with Spybot search and destroy.
Now the comp boots but often freezes whilst loading windows and even when it does load fully it takes just minutes for it to ock up again.

On the second comp which also had the cursormania on it I ran ad-aware and spybot and they seem to have sorted it out but there were no issues indicating a virus unlike the other pc.

Any help greatly appreciated.

i would replace ad-aware and Spybot S&D with this as they are no good

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.46 http://filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
always update before you scan so you have the latest database
click the remove selected button to quarantine anything found
you may post the scan log here

Thank you Pondus - I’ll give that a go tomorrow.

(EDIT) - Absolutely fantastic - Malwarebytes sorted both computers - I did have to start in safe mode and run the scan 4 times but all is good now.
Thanks for your help MUCH APPRECIATED!
