Whilst in this case it is no doubt a good detection, a file trying to masquerade as a windows system file svchost.exe, cvchost.exe is no system file.

There is no rush to delete anything from the chest, a protected area where it can do no harm. Anything that you send to the chest you should leave there for a few weeks. If after that time you have suffered no adverse effects from moving these to the chest, scan them again (inside the chest) and if they are still detected as viruses, delete them.

Hi David

Thank you for your help, er scan inside the chest ! ??? sorry not sure how to do that (is it just full scan ?)

Open the Chest > select the file you want to re-scan > right click the file name > you now have a menu where you can select to re-scan

Open the Simple User Interface as if you were going to do an on-demand scan from the menu or press the F1 key or right click on the centre of the skin, select Virus Chest. Or direct access of the file, C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashChest.dll, once open follow as CharleyO said.

Ive got it ;D, thank you both very much for your help, im learning ;D

@ CharleyO & DavidR thank you
