cybersitter quit working

I just install avast pro 4.6 now cybersitter quit blocking pages. I uninstalled then reinstalled cybersitter. It block unwanted pages untill I rebooted then it quit again. I have to parental control over surfing!!! Any ideas???

Does Cybersitter use a local proxy?
If so, you should manually adjust avast! WebShield settings…

Step-by-step instructions on how to set up a proxy server:

The procedure will be similar to this:

  1. Open the WebShield properties (Customize button on the providers lists).
  2. Un-check the option ‘Ignore the local traffic’.
  3. Set the same port used by Cybersitter.
  4. Restart the WebShield provider. (terminate and then start). Or, maybe, boot.

Check both your avast proxy settings:
Settings > Update (Basic) > Details > Proxy > Check Specify Proxy Server +

and your browser settings:
Internet Explorer: Tools > Internet Options > Connections > Lan Settings > Uncheck ‘Use a proxy server’
Firefox: Tools > Options > General > Connections Settings > Check’ Direct connection to the Internet’

Oh, maybe firewall could be blocking something to connect the Internet…
